A Cure for the Lonely Queer Hearts Club
AKA, I'm hosting an event in Montreal this month! Come hang!
So you know how most of my posts have been all “woe is me, it’s hard out there for a queer mom, where are all the other queer moms?!”
Well, let’s find out!
I was so inspired by the Not Going Anywhere zine and launch that I applied to the Museum of Jewish Montreal’s microgrant program to host a 2024 version of a Naches-inspired event. And I actually *got* a grant!
All to say, I’d be thrilled to see you and your queer mom friends at Queer Moms Nite Out on January 24th at 7:30pm.
There will be great food by Falafel Yoni, great people, a cash bar, and awesome programming, including a conversation with Rabbi Adina “Dini” Lewittes and her wife Andi. Rabbi Lewittes came out as a Conservative Rabbi mid-career, which is pretty incredible on its own. On top of both having very cool careers, Dini and Andi raised six awesome kids, host legendary Shabbats, and definitely have a lot of wisdom about parenting in the queer Jewish context. I cannot wait to hear it.
